About
A partnership model, not a trade group of convenience.
ACHP brings together America's best local nonprofit plans and the providers they work alongside, advocating for reforms that produce a competitive market and higher-value care.
What makes our members different
Every ACHP member is nonprofit and aligned with the clinicians delivering care. That alignment means the plan and the provider share the same incentive: keep people healthy in the community they live in, for decades at a time.
Our members average more than 40 years in their communities. They are frequently the highest-rated plans in their states, and they compete against national carriers many times their size.
ACHP staff translate that operating experience into federal policy — comment letters, testimony, research and direct engagement with CMS and Congress.
